En 10: From Monday, 22 November

Today, over half of the class was absent; we watched Act II and Act III of the film and then added a comment to this post.  You can comment on the movie, or on the play in a more general sense.

  1. I thought that it was interesting being able to view the play and follow along in the book although sometimes it was comfusing as in some parts lines were cut or rearranged.

  2. I was one of the absentees, but I don't think I like the play as much as I liked Romeo and Juliet or A Midsummer Nights Dream because I'm not very interesed in war. I am still trying to engage myself in the play but I finding it doesn't grasp my attention as much as I would like.

  3. I agree with Carly, I found the movie had cut parts out, and that made it hard to follow sometimes but generally I think the movie kinda opens up your perspective on the play itself, and makes you able to vision what's probably going on in the play in that scene or act.

  4. I think it was cool to watch the movie and see how some things like the harfleur speech were said instead of them just being read of the page and seeing what kind of enviroment they were in but at the same time it kind of wrecked the faces i had put to say pistol and nym

  5. I was absent on this day, but so far I enjoy watching the movie. I get a better understanding of the play and can follow along with the book. The movie opens up a different perspective and I can now achieve a better sense of the play by watching the movie.

  7. I think both the play and the movie have many insirational qualities, and watching the movie allows us to get a much better understanding of them. It also helps us with pronounciation and emotion that we can put into our own reading.
